KüchenInnovation des Jahres®” (“Kitchen Innovation of the Year”) is an annually-presented consumer award, which aims to identify the most consumer-oriented products and thereby offer consumers concrete help as they make purchasing decisions. Both experts and consumers vote on the entries so that the products can be evaluated objectively and independently, in their entirety. This two-tier process is what makes the “KüchenInnovation des Jahres®” consumer award so unique.

The international Good Design Award is the world’s oldest and most prestigious product and graphic design award, being presented annually by the Chicago Athenaeum (Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd) and the European Centre for Architecture, Art Design and Urban Studies, since 1950. One of the key criteria for deciding whether a product receives an award is whether its design positively impacts society or people’s everyday lives.
