04/05/2019 Federal President Steinmeier and Bulgarian President Radew visit Liebherr
Ochsenhausen (Germany) 5 April, 2019 – German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Bulgarian President Rumen Radew visited the Liebherr plant in Radinovo (Bulgaria) on 5 April, 2019. Liebherr manufactures fridges and freezers for domestic households here.
Stéfanie Wohlfarth (Member of the administrative board of Liebherr-International AG), Bulgarian President Rumen Radew, German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Dr. h.c. Isolde Liebherr (Vice President of the governing board of Liebherr-International AG) visited the Liebherr plant in Radinovo.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited the production site of Liebherr-Hausgeräte Marica EOOD together with Bulgarian President Rumen Radew during his two-day trip to Bulgaria on 5 April 2019. Liebherr is the largest employer in the region.
The family shareholders Isolde Liebherr and Stéfanie Wohlfarth as well as members of the Liebherr-Hausgeräte division management received the two heads of state and the accompanying business delegation. Stéfanie Wohlfarth welcomed the delegation by saying: “Your visit is a special event for our company and I would like to express my sincere thanks on behalf of the Liebherr family for the honouring us in this manner.” Afterwards, there was a guided tour of various production stations. At the training centre, young Liebherr junior staff had the opportunity to talk to the two presidents.
Since the site started operations in 2000, it has witnessed dynamic growth and systematic investments have strengthened it further. Liebherr opened a training centre in Radinovo in 2009 and a new logistics centre in 2016. Today, the plant is the largest production facility in the city. “As at all Liebherr locations all over the world, quality is our top priority in Radinovo. We continuously invest in the modernisation of our production facilities as well as in research and development, in order to maintain our high quality standards for all our products,” emphasises Stéfanie Wohlfarth.
