We all love the taste and texture of fresh food, but who has time to go shopping every single day? Foods such as lettuce, berries or even fish and seafood lose their freshness quickly and cannot be stored for a long time. This means you must eat them quickly or risk throwing them away.

The Fruit & Vegetable Safe.
Fruit and vegetables are stored in the Fruit & Vegetable Safe at almost 0°C with a high level of humidity, providing optimum storage conditions. Thanks to this specific temperature and humidity, fruit and vegetables retain their own moisture and stay fresh and crisp for longer, meaning you can still enjoy your salad after up to 13 days.
The BioFresh DrySafe.
Meat and sausages have specific requirements to ensure their freshness, and they’re best stored in the BioFresh-DrySafe. The low humidity and temperature of just over 0°C significantly reduces bacteria build up and ensures an extra-long shelf life. Enjoy your delicious beef stored in the BioFresh compartment even after up to 7 days.
Dairy products such as cheese or yoghurt also have special climate requirements. They are stored in the DrySafe at temperatures of just over 0°C under the ideal climatic conditions, which significantly reduces the activity of microorganisms and guarantees an extended shelf life.
The Fish & Seafood-Safe.
Love seafood? You’ll love the Fish & Seafood Safe. At –2°C the shelf life of fish and seafood doubles again compared to the BioFresh Safe. Fresh salmon, for example, can stay fresh for up to 4 days compared to the recommended storage period of just one day in the normal cooling area.

Ideal storage climate.
In addition to temperature, humidity also plays an important role when it comes to keeping food fresher for longer, and humidity can be individually adjusted in the BioFresh compartments. The DrySafe with low humidity (dry environment) is ideal for storing meat, fish and dairy products. Whilst fruit and vegetables stay fresher for longer in the Fruit & Vegetable Safe, thanks to the dewy climate and air humidity. Fruits and vegetables have a high water content and this must be maintained during storage. The high humidity in the Fruit & Vegetable Safe keeps the moisture in the food - meaning it stays crisp and fresh for longer.

The premium range with BioFresh features high-quality LED light columns on one or both sides, depending on the model, which ensure perfect and even illumination of the interior, and the special satin finish of the light cover creates an elegant look.
The lights fade on softly when you open the door, and the light columns allow for variable adjustment of the glass plates.
Freezer compartment lighting for refrigerators - freezer combinations in the Premium range: An LED light bar is positioned above the freezer drawers, which ensures that the pulled-out drawers are illuminated so you can see the contents of the drawer clearly. In premium models with BioFresh, the LEDs are integrated in the partition plate and these illuminate the pulled-out BioFresh safes evenly and brightly from above.
