When Liebherr introduced BioFresh technology in 1996, it was celebrated as a ground-breaking innovation in refrigeration technology, and today we’re still pioneers in food storage.
The principle of BioFresh is simple: at a temperature of just over 0°C and carefully controlled air humidity, the vitamins, aromas and appearance of food are preserved much longer than when stored in a conventional refrigerator.
The BioFresh drawers are equipped with an independent climate control. Fruit and vegetables are best stored in the HydroSafe where humidity is high, whilst meat and milk products are best stored in the DrySafe where humidity is low. The drawers can be pulled out on smooth-running telescopic pull-outs and conveniently removed with a door opening angle of 90°.
